The role
We are looking for a Mid-Level Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Serbia. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping how we utilize data to drive product and business decisions. You will be responsible for building the infrastructure that allows our team to turn complex data into actionable insights, ensuring that our internal systems remain scalable, accurate, and reliable as we continue to grow.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a centralized data repository by integrating diverse sources, including databases like Postgresql and ClickHouse, various APIs, and manual financial reports.
- Design and support robust, scalable data pipelines using modern open-source technologies such as Airbyte, dbt, and Airflow.
- Partner with product, sales, and engineering teams to identify data requirements and translate findings into meaningful data visualizations that inform company strategy.
Skills and experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience working with data systems and tools.
- Advanced proficiency in writing complex, efficient, and maintainable SQL queries.
- Practical experience with Python.
- Familiarity with the Modern Data Stack and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies quickly.
- Solid project management skills to handle tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
