Data Engineer at Questanalytics

At Quest Analytics, we help make healthcare more accessible for all Americans by delivering innovative provider network management solutions used by 90 percent of the nation’s health plans, including the eight largest. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis and help maintain the reliable data infrastructure that supports our mission.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for improved scalability.
• Manage daily operations of our data infrastructure, monitor pipeline performance, and quickly resolve issues in collaboration with engineering and analytics teams.
• Review project goals, select appropriate technologies, and implement best-practice standards for development, build, and deployment automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• At least three years of hands-on experience with ETL processes, data operations, and troubleshooting, ideally within healthcare data environments.
• Proficiency with the Azure ecosystem, specifically Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Strong command of Python for scripting, automation, and data processing, along with advanced SQL skills for query optimization and data manipulation.
• Experience building distributed data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark and Databricks.
• Working knowledge of database modeling, schema design, data governance practices, and libraries including Pandas and NumPy.
• Self-motivated problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting and demonstrates excellent troubleshooting and customer-focused communication skills.
