Data Engineer at Potloc

We are currently expanding our data engineering team to better leverage the vast amounts of information generated by our proprietary application and internal business tools. The role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position based in Canada. You will work at the intersection of our business and technical operations, ensuring that data is both accessible and reliable for stakeholders across the company.

Core responsibilities

• Integrate new data sources and streams into our existing ecosystem.
• Design, build, and document modular data models using industry best practices and tools like dbt.
• Manage our cloud infrastructure on AWS to deploy efficient pipelines that handle large volumes of data while maintaining high standards for quality and freshness.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• At least 3 years of professional programming experience with strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Proven experience in designing, scaling, and maintaining ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with open-source data tools such as dbt, Meltano, and Airflow.
• Experience working with data warehouse solutions like Google BigQuery, ClickHouse, or Snowflake.
• Practical knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
• Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in French is considered a significant asset.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
