Key outcomes
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, transformations, and reporting models using dbt, SQL, Python, and Snowflake.
- Develop and optimize data ingestion workflows, API integrations, and change-data-capture pipelines while applying established engineering frameworks and best practices.
- Implement data quality checks, automated testing, monitoring, and observability mechanisms that ensure reliable and trustworthy data products.
- Create analytics-ready data models, including reporting marts and dimensional models that enable clear business insights.
- Integrate AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to raise productivity, code quality, and documentation standards.
- Partner with analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders to define metrics, clarify business logic, and deliver data solutions that support decision-making.
- Contribute to data governance, compliance, and platform reliability by adhering to data contracts, security standards, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Four or more years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong command of SQL, including complex joins, aggregations, common table expressions, and window functions.
- Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation, testing, and documentation.
- Practical experience working with cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.
- Proven ability to build data workflows and automation using Python.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow and with Git-based development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with AWS services.
- Exposure to data governance, data contracts, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience using AI coding assistants and integrating AI into engineering workflows.
- Familiarity with modern observability and monitoring practices for data platforms.
