We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our Accounts squad, where you will play a vital role in a large-scale transformation project that sits at the core of our business. What you'll be doing

• Design and develop Scala and Python Spark applications to support our core systems.
• Manage and maintain the databases and platform integrations that handle every stage of the customer journey, from initial sign-up to final repayment.
• Collaborate with a variety of business users on a major transformation project, ensuring our systems remain seamless and secure.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have at least two years of experience with Spark and Python, along with a strong background in ETL and lift-and-shift projects. You will need to be comfortable working in a hybrid environment based in Australia, and you should possess the following qualifications:

• Advanced SQL skills, including experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases like Snowflake, Postgres, DynamoDB, or SparkSQL.
• Practical, hands-on experience with AWS services, specifically S3, EC2, IAM, and EKS.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work fluidly across different business units.
• A proactive mindset for managing risks and taking on new challenges.
• Fluency in English and a commitment to our core values of being customer-first, owning your work, working together, and changing the game.
