Key outcomes
- Design and implement robust data pipelines that support the analytics requirements across our various business verticals.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of end to end data interactions, ensuring that transformations and dependencies are optimized for accurate business decision-making.
- Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of our data infrastructure through proactive monitoring and optimization.
- Evaluate emerging industry trends and technologies by executing proofs of concept and recommending new processes to support our evolving business needs.
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for data engineering, taking projects from initial conceptualization to full implementation.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering roles.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience designing, building, and optimizing data warehouses, lakes, and pipelines using modern tools such as Airflow, DBT, Kafka, Iceberg, and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- At least 3 years of experience working within a cloud-based ecosystem, with a preference for AWS services such as RDS, Glue, and Athena.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, including product managers and designers.
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Python and its associated data ecosystem, such as Pandas, Polars, or Numpy.
- Expertise in SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL or Redshift, including administration and query optimization.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and containerization tools like Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems, Bash scripting, and REST APIs.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum development environments using version control systems like Git.
Compensation
The base salary range for this full-time, on-site position is $122,200 to $190,000. In addition to base pay, we provide bonus and incentive opportunities to ensure our compensation remains competitive and equitable.
