We are currently looking for a talented individual to join our Movements team, which manages the foundational Visits dataset and processes petabytes of geospatial information to help businesses make informed decisions.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. In this role, you will focus on reconstructing real-world movement patterns and mapping them to specific points of interest. You will work extensively with GPS data to build daily device diaries while maintaining a strict commitment to user privacy. This is a vital position for someone who enjoys working at scale to drive revenue opportunities for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and manage data pipelines that support both our internal teams and our external customers.
- Develop resilient services and robust tooling to enhance the processing of massive volumes of geospatial data.
- Take full ownership of production deployments by writing test automation and performing thorough code reviews.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field like computer science, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience writing production-level code using Python or Scala.
- Proven expertise with data processing frameworks, specifically Spark or Pyspark.
- A solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Practical experience working within cloud environments, with a preference for AWS.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Location
This position is based in Serbia and follows a hybrid work model.
