The role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position, meaning you can contribute to our mission from anywhere. We need someone who is comfortable taking ownership of data architecture and who thrives when solving complex engineering challenges in a cloud environment.
Core responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable data lakes that support our long-term growth and analytical needs.
- Develop and optimize reliable ETL and ELT pipelines to ensure data flows seamlessly across our systems.
- Build and refine real-time data streaming solutions to provide immediate insights for our users.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience working with cloud-based data environments. We value technical depth and a strong command of modern data engineering tools. Specifically, you should bring the following to our team:
- Advanced proficiency in Python or Java.
- Deep expertise in ETL/ELT development, particularly using Airflow.
- Practical experience with DBT and data warehouse modeling to create accurate metrics.
- Knowledge of real-time streaming technologies such as Kafka or Google Pub/Sub.
- Experience with big data processing frameworks like Hadoop or Spark.
- Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries for large datasets.
- Fluency in English to collaborate effectively with our global team.
