Data Engineer at Mamo

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our fully remote team and help us shape our product roadmap and business strategy through the power of data. You will play a vital role in our mission, working alongside supportive colleagues in product, design, and engineering to solve complex problems that have a real-world impact.

What you'll be doing

• You will build and maintain robust data pipelines while designing schemas and identifying the best processes to collect and analyze information.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key metrics, set up insightful dashboards, and generate reports that empower our stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
• You will analyze large-scale datasets using statistical and machine learning techniques to address complex business challenges and evaluate the success of our product initiatives.

What you'll bring

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, creative, and capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment. You should be a strong communicator who can bridge the gap between technical and business audiences while advocating for documentation and transparency.

• You have over 5 years of professional experience working with analysis tools and recommendation systems.
• You possess extensive experience with SQL and hands-on proficiency with Looker or similar business intelligence tools.
• You have a solid background in Python and are comfortable using data analysis libraries such as pandas, numpy, matplotlib, and scikit-learn.
• You are fluent in English and have a proven ability to apply statistical concepts, such as hypothesis development and experimental design, to draw actionable conclusions.
• It is a bonus if you have a background in payments, fraud, risk, e-commerce, or finance, or if you have experience with BigQuery and other GCP services.
