We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Germany on a full-time basis. In this hybrid role, you will help us simplify purchasing experiences for businesses everywhere, ensuring our infrastructure remains as efficient and reliable as our mission demands.

Key outcomes

• Design and oversee the maintenance of core data infrastructure, including data lakes, warehouses, and databases, to guarantee high performance and availability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and implement strategies that align with our long-term business objectives.
• Work alongside data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to translate complex data requirements into effective models and actionable insights.
• Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to uphold high data quality standards and resolve potential issues proactively.
• Enforce data governance policies and security measures to ensure full compliance with privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with OLAP systems, such as Snowflake.
• Proficiency in data orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Hands-on experience with data transformation frameworks, specifically DBT.
• Strong technical background in cloud platforms, such as AWS.
• Expertise in streaming frameworks, including Flink or similar technologies.
• Professional proficiency in the English language.
