Dune is on a mission to make crypto data accessible to everyone. We operate as a collaborative, multi-chain analytics platform that empowers thousands of investors, analysts, and developers to explore the frontiers of finance and understand complex on-chain ecosystems like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. With a dedicated team of about 60 employees working across Europe and the eastern United States, we are backed by leading investors such as Coatue and Union Square Ventures. We are committed to building a powerful, open product that rewards and educates a new generation of on-chain analysts, and we invite you to join our team of experts to help us achieve this goal.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. In this position, you will play a critical role in transforming raw on-chain activity into trustworthy, reusable datasets that drive our products and research. You will be responsible for building and maintaining reliable pipelines, modeling complex protocol mechanics into durable schemas, and scaling our data infrastructure to meet the needs of our global community.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines that standardize how on-chain data is consumed by our users.
- Establish high-quality architectural standards, including validation gates, observability, and lineage-aware deployments to ensure timely data delivery.
- Collaborate with our product and community teams to replicate curated datasets efficiently across platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, and Kafka.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in data engineering and a passion for blockchain technology. Key qualifications include:
- Expertise in SQL and experience modeling large datasets within modern data warehouses like Snowflake, Trino, or ClickHouse.
- Proficiency in Python for developing pipelines, automation, and tooling.
- Proven experience operating and orchestrating complex data pipelines using tools such as Airflow or Prefect.
- Solid computer science fundamentals, including system design skills and experience working with Kubernetes and public cloud environments.
- Strong intuition for blockchain data, including the ability to interpret transactions, events, and traces.
- A proactive mindset for debugging, resolving pipeline issues, and optimizing performance in a remote, asynchronous environment.
Location
This is a fully remote position, and you can work from anywhere.
