BitGo stands at the forefront of digital asset financial services, providing secure custody, liquidity, and infrastructure solutions to institutional investors worldwide. Since our inception in 2013, we have pioneered multi-signature wallet technology and currently support over 1,000 different coins and tokens. We process roughly 20 percent of all global Bitcoin transactions and serve more than 1,500 institutional clients across 50 countries. We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role where you will help us scale our data platform and reporting infrastructure while working alongside a talented group of engineers, security experts, and data scientists.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain reliable data pipelines that collect, transform, and curate data from our internal systems.
- Expand our blockchain reporting infrastructure and enhance our automated reconciliation processes.
- Develop and customize self-service tools that empower our internal teams to extract and analyze data from our central data store.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who value transparency, craftsmanship, and taking ownership of their work. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Between 1 and 2 years of professional experience in data engineering, software development, or infrastructure engineering.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Java or C++, or scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
- Strong technical background in SQL databases, specifically Postgres or MySQL.
- Solid understanding of systems design and event-driven architectures.
- A strong interest in the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors is highly preferred, as is experience with ETL processes and data warehouse technologies.
