We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis at our office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At Govini, we build software that accelerates the Defense Acquisition Process. Our flagship product, The Ark, utilizes artificial intelligence and commercial data to help the acquisition community modernize their processes and gain a strategic advantage in areas like supply chain management and technology production. As a core member of our engineering team, you will help our clients move away from manual, time-consuming workflows toward informed, real-time decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead on our data lifecycle strategy, covering everything from initial acquisition and ingestion to normalization and linkage.
- Identify and resolve key entities within our datasets to ensure they are accurately linked to our master data repository.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate statistical, machine learning, and text processing models into our existing infrastructure.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Three to five years of hands-on experience with programmatic data transformation.
- Advanced SQL programming skills and experience working with RDBMS.
- Proficiency in handling common data formats including XML, JSON, and CSV.
- Strong analytical skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- The ability to work independently and a passion for solving complex, large-scale problems.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Amazon Web Services, familiarity with large-scale data sets in the terabyte range, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
