The role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, KY, MD, MI, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, or WA. We need someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced startup environment and is eager to design and maintain high-availability data systems that drive our business forward.
Core responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines that move information from production systems into reports and applications used by our customers.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and patterns, then translate those insights into actionable recommendations for our stakeholders.
- Collaborate across teams to develop predictive models and algorithms that integrate directly into our core business strategies.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong technical foundation and a collaborative spirit. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a relevant engineering or analytical role.
- At least 2 years of professional experience with Python and SQL.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with DBT and data modeling.
- At least 2 years of experience creating data visualizations to communicate insights.
- A proven ability to train or fine-tune large data sets.
- Strong critical thinking skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work humbly and collaboratively within a growing team.
