Data Engineer at Mindbody

The role

We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Costa Rica. This position is perfect for an early-career professional who is eager to design, implement, and support data solutions that drive advanced analytics. You will work cross-functionally to ensure our data pipelines are consistent, scalable, and aligned with our internal standards.

Core responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust data integration pipelines using SQL, Python, and Data Bricks to support our analytical needs.
• Collaborate with technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources, including APIs and flat files.
• Model data and metadata to deliver high-quality reporting solutions that empower business stakeholders.

Skills and experience

To thrive in this role, you should have a strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Foundational experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, or analytics.
• Hands-on proficiency in writing complex, optimized SQL queries and working with scripting languages like Python.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing technologies such as Oracle or Redshift.
• Intermediate knowledge of AWS services.
• Familiarity with tools like DBT is considered a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
