Ninja Van is a late-stage logtech startup that has been transforming the logistics industry since we launched in 2014. We have grown into one of the largest express logistics companies in Southeast Asia, serving 100 million customers across the region. With over 2,600 hubs and stations, we manage a massive scale, processing 3TB of data and 250 million API requests every single day. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in India. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain our core infrastructure for streaming, processing, and storing large volumes of data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create scalable, high-performance solutions for data extraction, transformation, and loading across various sources.
- Establish and lead data retention policies and backup strategies to ensure our information remains secure and redundant.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from a top-tier university.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in a similar role with a focus on building scalable data infrastructure.
- Strong mastery of SQL and extensive experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Advanced proficiency in Apache Kafka, Hadoop, and MapReduce.
- Deep familiarity with stream-processing systems like Spark and data serialization frameworks such as Protobuf, Thrift, and Avro.
- An interest in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform is highly valued.
