The opportunity
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. You will serve as our primary subject matter expert, taking ownership of our data infrastructure and shaping how we handle information as we scale. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys moving from the whiteboard to reality, as you will design and implement the systems that power our business decisions. You will work closely with our application development, CloudOps, and product management teams to ensure our data is fast, sophisticated, and reliable.
A day in the life
- You will design and implement robust data pipelines that support the analytical needs across our various business verticals.
- You will monitor and optimize our existing data systems to ensure they remain secure, reliable, and performant as our data volume grows.
- You will act as a technical pioneer by researching industry trends, executing proofs-of-concept, and introducing new technologies to our stack.
Who you are
You are an engineer at heart who values impact over credentials. You have a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems. You communicate complex technical concepts clearly to partners across the company, and you thrive in an environment that rewards independent problem-solving and collaboration. To be successful in this role, you should bring the following experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering roles.
- Proven ability to build and optimize data warehouses, lakes, and pipelines using tools like Airflow, DBT, Kafka, and cloud data warehouses such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- At least 3 years of experience working within a cloud ecosystem, with a preference for AWS services.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Professional fluency in English.
Why you'll love it here
We are committed to fair and equitable compensation. For this role, the base salary range is $122,200 to $190,000, plus bonus and incentive opportunities. We believe in fostering a collaborative culture where you can leave your mark on our systems and processes while working alongside a talented team in a fast-moving environment.
