What you bring
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and maintaining the backbone of our software ecosystem. This is a full-time, remote position available to candidates located anywhere. You will be expected to leverage your expertise in Python, GCP, and distributed systems to build robust applications. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Architecting and scaling high-performance software solutions using Google Cloud services like Vertex AI.
- Developing cloud-native applications and APIs using FastAPI, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions.
- Implementing advanced scaling principles, including load estimation, rate limiting, and failure management to ensure system reliability.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who balances technical rigor with a passion for clean, maintainable code. You should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field. We require at least five years of software development experience, specifically with Python and Golang. You must have a deep understanding of microservices, API design, and the trade-offs associated with the CAP theorem. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who excels at troubleshooting, values unit testing and incremental refactoring, and communicates effectively within a collaborative, remote-first team environment.
