Role at a glance
We are seeking a mid-level Data Engineer to join our international team. This is a full-time position that offers a hybrid work environment. You can be based anywhere, as we have a distributed presence across the UK, UAE, and Asia.
Your impact
- Design, build, and maintain a robust, centralized data ecosystem that includes our data warehouse, data lake, and various data hubs.
- Develop the infrastructure necessary for the efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies.
- Create specialized data tools and reports that empower our product teams to make data-driven decisions and optimize our services for our users.
What you'll need
We are looking for a self-motivated problem solver who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. You should have a strong grasp of data architecture and a pragmatic approach to engineering.
- Between 3 and 5 years of professional experience in data engineering.
- A degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, and complex data sets.
- Familiarity with AWS, Linux environments, NoSQL databases like Elasticsearch, and event-streaming platforms like Kafka.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Fluency in English.
