The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our engineering team and help build the next generation of our Ad EnGage data pipeline. You will work in a fast-paced environment, partnering closely with our Data Scientists to process massive datasets, including trillions of rows and hundreds of terabytes of information. This role is central to our mission, as your work will directly influence the critical business decisions our clients make every day. You will have the chance to leverage a modern tech stack, including AWS, Airflow, DBT, and Snowflake, to solve complex engineering challenges.
A day in the life
- Design and maintain sophisticated data pipelines that integrate diverse sources of advertising occurrence, outcome, and identity resolution data.
- Collaborate with our Data Science team to optimize performance and ensure our data architecture supports high-scale analytics.
- Apply your expertise in SQL, Python, or Ruby to build robust, scalable solutions that balance technical excellence with our core business objectives.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer who thrives in a startup-style environment where taking ownership is the norm. You have a solid foundation in software engineering principles and a passion for data infrastructure. To be successful in this role, you should bring:
- At least 4 years of total software engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years specifically focused on data engineering.
- Proven experience building complex data pipelines in production environments.
- Strong technical proficiency with cloud computing platforms like AWS and data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake.
- Experience with modern ETL technologies, specifically Airflow and DBT.
- Fluency in English and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to navigate the intersection of engineering requirements and business needs.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally. For this role, the salary range is $130,000 to $190,000. Beyond the compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to help you thrive:
- A hybrid work model that requires just two days a week in the office, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- A 401k plan to help you prepare for your future.
- Commuter benefits to make your travel to the office easier.
