Welcome to Yuno. We are building a high-performance payment processing platform, and we are looking for a talented individual to help us scale our data capabilities. As a Data Engineer, you will be at the heart of our technical operations, ensuring that our infrastructure remains reliable, efficient, and ready to handle the demands of our growing ecosystem.
About the Role
We are hiring a Mid-Level Data Engineer for a full-time position. In this role, you will focus on designing and maintaining the systems that power our data strategy. You will work across the entire lifecycle of our data, from initial extraction and ingestion to storage and governance, ensuring that our team has the high-quality information needed to drive our platform forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines that can handle large volumes of information from diverse sources like APIs, SFTP, and web services.
- Build and maintain robust data infrastructure, including data lakes and warehouses, while enforcing strict data governance and quality standards.
- Develop automated solutions for data extraction and integration, utilizing your expertise in big data frameworks to optimize performance.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have a solid foundation in data engineering and a passion for building scalable systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and Scala, with mandatory proficiency in PySpark.
- Proven experience managing ETL processes, data warehouses, and data lakes within a data-intensive environment.
- Familiarity with distributed data systems and the ability to integrate complex data formats such as HDFS, Parquet, and CSV.
- A clear understanding of data governance principles and best practices for data security.
