We are a modern software company based in Hyderabad, dedicated to scaling digital businesses that disrupt global utility retail markets. By providing technology development, process optimization, and customer experience services, we support award-winning utility retailers across New Zealand and Australia. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer Software Consultant to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis to help us innovate and deliver high-quality, secure data solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python while meeting defined service level objectives.
Leverage AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, DMS, and RDS to architect and manage cloud-based data platforms.
Integrate data from diverse sources into AWS data lakes and warehouses.
Embed data security practices throughout the entire data lifecycle to ensure robust protection and vulnerability management.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and proactively propose innovative solutions to optimize data processing.
Collaborate within an Agile framework to deliver high-quality data solutions during every sprint.

Must-haves

Over 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, specifically focusing on cloud-based solutions.
Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
Deep expertise in the AWS ecosystem and data modeling techniques.
Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline optimization.
Excellent communication skills in English, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science.

Nice-to-haves

Practical experience working in a Linux Ubuntu environment.
Familiarity with data testing frameworks.
Experience using data visualization and Business Intelligence tools.
