Data Engineer Lead at Mutt Data

We are currently searching for a Data Engineer Lead to join our team on a full-time basis. Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor teams of Data and Machine Learning Engineers while providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews.
• Act as a primary liaison between our technical teams and business stakeholders to manage project scope, prioritize tasks, and translate client requirements into actionable solutions.
• Conceptualize, build, and maintain complex data systems, including the development of proof of concepts, machine learning models, and data platforms.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in software engineering and a passion for modern data stacks. You should possess the following qualifications:

• At least 4 years of professional experience in software engineering and development.
• Proven ability to build robust data pipelines for analytics or Machine Learning using distributed computing tools like Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Experience working with analytical data systems, such as modern data warehouses or data lakes.
• Proficiency in the hypermodern Python stack and familiarity with tools like Kubernetes, Kafka, Airflow, and MLFlow.
• Strong communication skills and experience in client-facing roles or team leadership.
