We are looking for a motivated Data Engineer Intern to join our team on an on-site basis. At Divergent, we have developed the Divergent Adaptive Production System, or DAPS, which is an end-to-end factory system that utilizes machine learning to engineer and manufacture complex vehicle structures. As a Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs and a growing partner in the aerospace and defense sectors, we are constantly pushing the boundaries of manufacturing technology. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to move information from various sources into our data warehouse and lakehouse architectures.
- Collaborate with our data science and analytics teams to ensure that data is clean, accessible, and ready for machine learning and business intelligence initiatives.
- Integrate our internal systems with external tools and applications, such as ERP, MES, Jira, and Splunk, to facilitate seamless data synchronization across the company.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should be a student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data engineering, mathematics, software engineering, or a related field. We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Scala.
- Solid experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data lakehouse architectures, and modern integration techniques.
- An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- A passion for continuous learning and a strong understanding of software development best practices.
