At PriceSpider, we are dedicated to revitalizing the buyer’s journey and helping people reconnect with the brands they love. With a global team of 350 employees across four countries, we focus on making commerce more human, and we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer II to join our team on an on-site, full-time basis in the Netherlands or Germany.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data engineering solutions and complex pipelines.
- Create tools and processes to effectively move and transform large volumes of data across various systems.
- Implement and manage data monitoring solutions to guarantee high levels of data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze complex software systems and influence our overall data architecture.
- Work hands-on with platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, Looker, and Tableau.
- Take ownership of project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Must-haves
- A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience with OLAP environments such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
- Proven track record of managing big data at the terabyte and multi-billion row scale.
- Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries with joins, constraints, and common-table expressions.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, such as Python, Go, C#, Java, or Javascript.
- Strong grasp of data mining, information retrieval, and natural language processing techniques.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design.
- Experience working within agile methodologies like SCRUM or KanBan.
- Fluency in English.
