About the Role
We are seeking a Data Engineer II to join our data enablement engineering team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the data pipelines and software frameworks that empower our Data Science, Engineering, and Analytics organizations to access critical metrics and data effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable data processing platforms that support our internal engineering and analytics teams.
- Develop and oversee batch data pipelines to transform, clean, normalize, and store large-scale datasets.
- Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics stakeholders to establish best practices for data modeling and architecture.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in a data engineering environment, specifically with ETL processes and raw data lakes.
- Proven expertise in managing big data platforms using technologies such as Databricks, Hadoop, HDFS, and Kafka.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Apache Spark, utilizing either Scala or pySpark.
- A track record of delivering high-quality code and a strong desire to grow within a high-performance team.
Location
This position is based in Canada and requires an on-site presence.
