The role

We are looking for a Data Engineer II to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a mid-level position where you will play a vital role in designing and managing the data solutions that power our insurance platform. You will be responsible for how we structure, store, and access data, ensuring that our product teams and customers have access to high-quality, actionable information.

Core responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures to support our growing insurance platform.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, business intelligence teams, and product managers to translate complex requirements into effective data solutions.
• Share your technical expertise by mentoring teammates and promoting best practices in data management, pipelining, and system architecture across the company.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in data engineering and a passion for building scalable systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in data engineering and data management.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and advanced SQL development and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with the full data pipeline lifecycle, including replication, staging, transformation, and movement.
• Practical knowledge of Google Cloud data storage and orchestration technologies.
• Familiarity with modern data warehouse concepts, such as Lakehouse architectures.
• Understanding of CI/CD, automated deployments, and code management practices.
• Experience with Terraform is preferred but not required.

Compensation and benefits

The salary range for this position is $132,000 to $198,000 USD. We are dedicated to providing a comprehensive benefits package that supports your professional growth and personal well-being, including:
