The role

We are seeking a Senior/Lead Data Capture & ETL Platform expert to join us for a full-time, on-site position in the United States. In this role, you will architect and maintain the sophisticated data platforms that our quantitative researchers rely on to monetize their ideas. You will work in a highly collaborative setting, engaging with various teams across the organization to tackle significant problems in financial systems while staying at the forefront of emerging technologies.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines, managing the entire lifecycle from raw market capture ingestion to the normalization of data for quantitative research.
• Design and implement automation and tooling to enhance the resiliency, visibility, and traceability of our end-to-end data pipelines.
• Conduct ongoing performance analysis and infrastructure tuning to optimize our cloud platforms and pipeline components.

Skills and experience

We are looking for candidates who possess 5 to 7 years of industry experience and a strong technical background. Key requirements include:

• Advanced proficiency in Python, specifically using pandas and numpy for time-series data.
• Extensive experience building large-scale ETL pipelines or managing tick data in collaboration with researchers.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS and SQL, alongside a solid understanding of computer architecture and system performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, particularly AWS.
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• Experience with C/C++ development is considered a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
