Are you ready to help us transform how the world measures biology? At Nomic, we are on a mission to make biological data more accessible and actionable through our groundbreaking nELISA platform. By combining DNA nanotechnology with high-dimensional flow cytometry and machine learning, we have become a leader in protein profiling. We are looking for a talented individual to join our team in Canada and help us continue our work with top-tier pharmaceutical partners as we scale our impact on disease detection.
What you bring
As a Data Associate in this full-time, on-site role, you will be a vital part of our Data team. You will focus on managing the infrastructure and pipelines that allow us to decode complex protein datasets. Your work will directly support our laboratory scientists and help refine the tools we use to extract insights from our high-throughput platform. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Operating and troubleshooting our existing software tools to analyze nELISA data effectively.
- Building and maintaining data processing tools that help our team interpret results and maintain high data quality.
- Supporting the analysis of diverse biochemical assays, including spectroscopy, protein purification, and antibody conjugation.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Data Science and Software Development who thrives in a collaborative environment. You should have at least two years of industry experience running data or machine learning pipelines, specifically within the bioscience sector. A solid foundation in statistics, including Bayesian methods and mixed models, is essential. We value candidates who possess excellent communication skills in English, as you will be working closely with cross-functional teams and international partners. A degree in engineering or the applied sciences is required, along with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced startup setting.
What we offer
Joining Nomic means becoming part of a diverse and inclusive group of engineers and scientists dedicated to solving some of the hardest problems in biotechnology. We offer a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of proteomics where your contributions will directly influence our ability to detect diseases earlier and improve patient outcomes. You will grow your technical skills in a culture that values candid feedback, first-principles thinking, and continuous learning.
How to Apply
If you are passionate about data analysis and want to play a hands-on role in redefining the field of proteomics, we would love to hear from you. We encourage you to submit your application to join our team and help us drive the next generation of scientific discovery.
