Data Architecture Lead at Bluevine - India

Bluevine is on a mission to reshape small business banking by providing innovative credit, lending, and checking solutions. Since 2013, we have supported over 500,000 customers with a global team of 500 people, backed by major investors like Lightspeed Venture Partners and Citi Ventures. We are looking for a Data Architecture Lead to join our team in India to help us build the financial tools that empower entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data architectures that align with our core business objectives.
• Manage and maintain our cloud-based database infrastructure on AWS.
• Monitor systems to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve technical incidents in real time.
• Support our data streaming and CDC processes within the AWS environment.
• Optimize database performance to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate closely with our international teams on daily operational tasks.
• Partner with our DevOps, NOC, and R&D departments to refine procedures and workbooks.
• Handle routine maintenance, including system upgrades, backups, and user management.

Must-haves

• At least 5 years of experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL, data warehouses, and data lakes on AWS.
• Deep understanding of data streaming and Change Data Capture methodologies.
• Hands-on proficiency with observability tools, including Airflow, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, and New Relic.
• Proven ability to use Python for scripting and automation tasks.
• Familiarity with Graph databases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across global teams in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of AWS Lambda and Terraform.
