What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Data Architect to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. This is a high-impact position for an experienced professional who wants to lead the modernization of our data infrastructure. You will work closely with our Chief Data Officer to refine our technical landscape, ensuring that our data operations are scalable, efficient, and capable of supporting our complex needs in trading, risk management, and compliance.
What will you do?
- Lead the development of golden source datasets, including Security Master and Price Master, to serve as a reliable foundation for the entire firm.
- Centralize and standardize Python libraries currently used by our quantitative, risk, and technology teams to improve code quality and collaboration.
- Oversee the migration of legacy data pipelines into our modern cloud architecture by leveraging tools like Snowflake and DBT.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have over nine years of development experience, including at least four years working within the finance sector. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly in English and possesses a strong technical foundation.
- Expertise in Python and SQL for automation and complex data processing.
- Proven experience in data modeling, performance tuning, and designing efficient ETL pipelines.
- Hands-on technical proficiency with Snowflake, DBT, and MS SQL Server.
- Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes within cloud environments.
- A collaborative mindset that aligns with our core values of integrity, humility, and smart risk-taking.
What's in it for you?
We offer a competitive base salary ranging from $180,000 to $250,000. In addition to this base compensation, you will be eligible to receive a discretionary year-end bonus.
