Blanc Labs is a leader in the digital space, helping global enterprises navigate digitization, automation, and the creation of advanced digital products. Based in Toronto, we work with clients across the Americas to accelerate their service delivery and drive meaningful growth. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Architect to join our team on a contractor basis. In this role, you will work in a hybrid environment to design and maintain our enterprise data warehouse while ensuring our data infrastructure remains secure, scalable, and high-performing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures, focusing on data lakes, warehouses, and complex pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective, innovative data solutions.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance practices, and master data management strategies to ensure the reliability of our information.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should bring a deep technical background and a proven ability to manage large-scale data environments. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 12 years of experience in data architecture and modernization, specifically within Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
- Over 10 years of experience with MS SQL Server, including integration and analysis services, as well as extensive work in business intelligence and data modeling.
- Strong proficiency in Python, along with hands-on experience using Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Pandas, and Apache Spark.
- A solid understanding of modern data patterns such as Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and microservices.
- The ability to identify and resolve data gaps during complex migration efforts.
