What is this role?
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a high-impact leadership position where you will have significant autonomy to shape the future of our data infrastructure. You will be instrumental in designing systems that serve as the foundation for our clinical intelligence products, working alongside product and engineering teams to solve complex challenges.
What will you do?
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our data warehouse and governance policies to ensure our systems remain scalable and compliant with healthcare regulations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to translate data requirements into actionable insights that can be effectively productized.
- Develop, operationalize, and maintain comprehensive data models, including logical, physical, and conceptual designs, to support a variety of business use cases.
What makes you a great fit?
To thrive in this role, you should have at least 12 years of relevant experience, including 4 or more years specifically leading data architecture initiatives in fast-paced, agile environments. We value candidates who are empathetic, kind, and collaborative. Your technical background should include the following:
- Expertise in SQL and strong proficiency in data modeling and design.
- Hands-on experience building platforms using Python, AWS, Airflow, and dbt.
- A solid understanding of ETL processes, data integration, data quality frameworks, and data governance practices.
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards like HL7, FHIR, and CCDA, as well as a strong grasp of HIPAA security regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English and a proven ability to mentor engineering teams.
