Data Architect Principal at Sagent

At Sagent, we are transforming mortgage servicing by bringing modern digital experiences to both consumers and servicers. Our platform helps customers manage their home-owing lives from anywhere while giving servicers lower costs, greater compliance, and higher servicing values through every market cycle. We are a joint venture combining Fiserv’s fintech expertise with Warburg Pincus’s growth acumen, and we are looking for a Data Architect Principal to join us on a full-time hybrid basis. In this senior role, you will shape how our organization models, integrates, and governs data so that every decision is driven by accurate, timely insights.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain comprehensive data models that accurately represent business requirements, working directly with stakeholders to identify key data elements and relationships.
• Analyze large, complex data sets to uncover patterns and trends, then translate findings into clear recommendations that guide both technical and business decisions.
• Establish data-mapping specifications, processing logic, and documentation that the ETL team uses to build reliable data flows across our cloud platforms.

Requirements

• 12 or more years of hands-on experience as a data modeler, developer, data-warehouse consumer, or in data-related operations.
• At least 3 years working with Azure, GCP, or comparable cloud environments, plus 3 years deploying solutions through DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• 4 years of experience with data-modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner, and practical experience with Snowflake.
• Strong working knowledge of .NET, Java, and T-SQL, along with mid-to-expert skill in data-integration concepts and source-to-target mapping.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects across the full software-development life cycle while applying Agile methodologies and standard systems-analysis practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, including the ability to interview business partners, set expectations, and present status to senior leadership.
