Scale to Win is a fully-remote progressive, political tech company founded in 2020 by organizing leaders from the Biden/Harris, Bernie 2020, Warren 2020, Bernie 2016, and Hillary for America Presidential campaigns. Product offerings include Scale to Win Spoke, a P2P texting platform; the Scale to Win Dialer, a predictive calling tool; and our new “all-in-one” shortcode and longcode texting tool, Scale to Win Text. Scale to Win offers turnkey “We Text” services, where our team builds text campaigns, sends messages, collects data, and ensures compliance on behalf of clients.

We work with more than 3,000 Democratic and progressive campaigns and organizations driving change. Current and past clients include the Biden-Harris campaign, the Democratic National Committee, the Working Families Party, the AFL-CIO, UFCW, MoveOn, and For Our Future.

This position is a full-time, temporary “cycle hire” for the 2024 election cycle, expected to end on December 31st, 2024, with potential for renewal.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with product management experience to join our team. The main priority will be managing the beta period and planning for our new Scale to Win Text tool, focusing on collecting and synthesizing user feedback to improve the overall user experience. This role will also involve working on our other products, Spoke and the Dialer. Experience with voter contact tools is preferred, and design experience is nice to have.

Essential Duties:

• Competitor Research and Comparison Guide:

• Conduct thorough research on competitor products and services to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
• Create and maintain a detailed comparison guidebook that highlights key differences and advantages of our tool versus competitors, focusing on features, user experiences, and market positioning.

• Internal Documentation and Communication:
• Maintain and update all internal documentation related to Scale to Win Text.
• QA Management:
• Manage and coordinate with the QA Team Lead (contractor) and the contract QA team.
• Monitor and manage QA processes, ensuring thorough testing of new features and bug fixes before release.
• User Interviews and Feedback Collection:
• Proactively schedule and conduct user interviews to gather detailed insights and understand user needs and pain points for Scale to Win Text.
• Actively solicit and review product feedback from various sources, including users and internal teams.
• Collaborate with internal teams to flesh out and clarify feedback for actionable insights.
• Track Usage Data:
• Track usage data and metrics to understand how users interact with Scale to Win Text.
• Identify patterns and trends to inform future feature development and improvements.
• Additional Product Responsibilities:
• Assist in gathering and analyzing feedback for Spoke and the Dialer to inform overall product enhancements.

About You:

• Experience in product management or a similar role.
• Four or more years of experience in product management, politics, organizing, technology, or related industries.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• High bias towards keeping your commitments, always ensuring follow-through.
• Comfort working in fast-paced environments and ability to navigate complex and nuanced situations.
• A creative problem-solver and self-starter. You’re someone who can disagree without being disagreeable. You’re comfortable coming up with new ideas and have the follow through to make those new ideas happen.
• Ability to organize and prioritize a complex work plan with ever-changing details.
• Willingness to work some weekends and evenings, especially as we approach peak election times and experience peak volumes with our clients.
• Strong commitment to progressive values and desire to help the left win.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge and experience with texting and/or dialing tools is a plus.
• Design experience with Figma or similar tools.

The Offer:

• $95,000 annualized salary. As part of our commitment to equity, salaries are non-negotiable: everyone in the same role receives the same salary.
• Discretionary election-year bonuses. These are typically paid out monthly and, for this role in 2024, range from $2,800 to $7,000 per month.
