The role
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Lead to manage our Incident Response and Security Operations Center (SOC) functions. This is a full-time, on-site leadership position based in San Carlos, California. We need an experienced professional who can operate with a high sense of urgency to protect our infrastructure and data. You will be instrumental in scaling our security operations and ensuring our defenses remain robust against evolving threats.
Core responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end incident response process, including proactive threat hunting, identification, and the remediation of security incidents.
- Manage daily operations for the SOC and attack surface management, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed in a timely manner.
- Develop and optimize security dashboards within our SIEM and other tools to provide clear reporting on vulnerability risks and security incidents to senior management.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong technical background and a passion for innovation. We require the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 10 years of operational cybersecurity experience, with a minimum of 5 years specifically focused on incident response and security operations within large, complex enterprise environments.
- Expertise in AWS security stacks, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability management tools.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and MacOS, alongside database management systems.
- Proven ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively to both technical teams and executive leadership.
- A proactive mindset with experience in AI and automation to help us build next-generation security solutions.
Compensation and benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $172,400 to $215,450 USD. Actual compensation is determined based on your specific experience, skill set, certifications, and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support you and your family, including:
