For over 52 years, we have specialized in private equity, infrastructure, real estate, credit, and absolute return strategies. Our team of roughly 540 professionals operates from offices around the world, including our headquarters in Chicago. We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Intern to join our Cybersecurity and Risk team on an on-site basis in the United States. This team is responsible for safeguarding our data, systems, and facilities, and we are looking for a student who is eager to contribute to our mission of maintaining a secure and resilient environment.
Key outcomes
- Investigate, document, and report on information security events and alerts.
- Contribute to significant cybersecurity projects, including the implementation of the CIS 18 framework.
- Manage and maintain our security toolset, which includes endpoint protection, SIEM, and threat management platforms, to ensure compliance with firm policies.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of controls across our information and technology systems.
- Collaborate with various technology teams to enhance our security posture and maintain robust controls.
- Tune security infrastructure to improve automated threat alerting, anomaly detection, and metrics reporting.
- Prepare technical documentation, project requirements, and diagrams as needed.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to analyze facts, define problems, and propose logical solutions.
- Capacity to adapt quickly to a fast-paced and changing environment.
- A genuine interest in cybersecurity and learning the CIS framework.
- Currently pursuing studies in Information Technology.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous interest or experience in financial services or investment management.
- Relevant security certifications.
