Beyond Mission Capable Solutions LLC serves as a vital partner within the cyber community, providing specialized support to the Department of Defense, Air Force, Space Force, and Federal Aviation. We help these organizations navigate complex challenges in cybersecurity acquisition, implementation, and operational risk management. As digital threats grow in sophistication, we are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Cybersecurity Engineering Consultant to help us stay ahead of emerging risks.

What you'll be doing

• You will conduct independent vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify and mitigate threats within our cloud infrastructure.
• You will design and maintain robust security policies and standards to ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of our systems.
• You will partner with development teams to integrate secure coding practices and DevSecOps methodologies directly into the software development lifecycle.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong grasp of internet protocols, networking, and core cybersecurity principles. We value your practical experience and your ability to solve problems in real-world scenarios. Specifically, we are looking for the following qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience applying cybersecurity strategies and frameworks.
• Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework, particularly within federal or Department of Defense environments.
• Practical knowledge of security scanning tools, container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and microservice security.
• Proficiency in English and the ability to work effectively within the United States.
• An understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and non-RMF compliance frameworks such as the CSEIG.
