We are currently looking for a talented professional to help us protect our digital landscape as we continue to grow.
What is this role?
We are searching for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a critical position for our organization, as you will be responsible for safeguarding our infrastructure through proactive threat management and strategic security planning. This role is based in Houston, Texas, and we are looking for someone who can work in a hybrid capacity while being within a commutable distance to our local office.
What will you do?
- Lead our proactive threat management efforts by continuously monitoring systems and networks to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities before they become issues.
- Take charge of incident response and management, which includes detecting and containing threats while collaborating closely with our Managed Service Provider and Security Operations Center teams.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, including the design of secure system architectures and the integration of automation to streamline our security tasks.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 4 to 5 years of experience in a cybersecurity position, ideally within a mid to large-sized organization. You must be fluent in English and possess a strong technical foundation.
- Technical Expertise: You have deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls, along with hands-on experience in cloud security environments such as Azure and AWS.
- Tool Proficiency: You are comfortable working with Microsoft 365 Admin Centers, including Entra ID and Intune, and you have the ability to write scripts in languages like Python or PowerShell to automate security processes.
- Strategic Mindset: You can translate complex security concepts for non-technical stakeholders and have experience managing security projects across different departments.
- Professional Credentials: While not strictly required, holding certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, CASP+, CEH, or OSCP is highly desirable.
What's in it for you?
We value the well-being of our team members and offer the following benefit:
- Hybrid work flexibility to help you balance your professional and personal life.
