Cybersecurity Engineer at Rainfocus

RainFocus is looking for a talented Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. We are a fast-growing, well-funded software company that provides an industry-disrupting platform for managing in-person, virtual, and hybrid events for major organizations like Adobe, Cisco, and IBM. As we continue to scale, we need a dedicated professional to help us protect our digital infrastructure and support our mission of delivering exceptional event experiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage our end-to-end vulnerability program by utilizing tools like Tenable and SonarQube, while actively validating findings with Burp Suite and Linux environments.
• Collaborate directly with our engineering teams to conduct threat modeling, review code dependencies, and ensure that secure coding practices are integrated into every stage of development.
• Oversee security operations by triaging incidents within Jira, managing our bug bounty programs, and ensuring our AWS cloud environments remain secure and compliant.

Requirements

We are looking for a mid-level professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical security role. You must be a US citizen to be considered for this position. Our ideal candidate brings the following qualifications:

• Strong technical proficiency in application security, including familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and software composition analysis.
• Proven experience in vulnerability assessment, cloud security within AWS, and the ability to interpret complex scan results to drive remediation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work alongside developers to solve security challenges without disrupting their workflow.
• Technical familiarity with our core stack, including Python scripting, and relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GIAC.
