We are 2U, the parent company of edX, and we are dedicated to eliminating the back row in education. By partnering with over 230 colleges, universities, and corporate leaders, we power more than 4,000 digital learning experiences that range from free courses to full degrees. We are currently looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will help us maintain a resilient technology environment by identifying and mitigating security risks across our cloud and infrastructure layers.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage security controls to protect our cloud, application, and infrastructure resources.
- Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines to enable automated vulnerability detection and remediation.
- Develop custom tools and scripts to automate security workflows and improve overall visibility.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, DevOps, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience working with public cloud platforms, with a specific focus on AWS.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages, particularly Python or Bash.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently on complex security challenges.
- Familiarity with container security practices and web application firewalls.
