The role
We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in Germany. This is a hybrid role designed for an experienced professional who is ready to take a leadership position in securing our autonomous trucking program. You will play a critical role in our Safety and Cyber Security team, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety and security in the automotive industry.
Core responsibilities
- Lead our cyber security initiatives by ensuring full compliance with ISO 21434 and UNECE WP.29 standards while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Direct Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) processes in coordination with functional safety teams to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
- Drive the development of robust security architectures and concepts, providing guidance to engineering teams throughout the design and implementation phases.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional engineering experience, specifically within the automotive industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 21434, complex hardware, and software systems.
- Proficiency with communication protocols such as Ethernet and CAN, as well as low-level operating systems and middleware.
- Strong expertise in distributed and centralized ECU architectures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coach teams and interface with external vendors.
