We are currently seeking a mid-level Cyber Infrastructure Engineer to join our hybrid team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Please note that this position requires U.S. citizenship, and all work must be performed within the continental United States.
Key outcomes
- Manage the installation, implementation, and maintenance of agency-wide local and wide-area networks.
- Design and oversee WAN infrastructure processes to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide production support for client networks, including daily operations, monitoring, and proactive problem resolution.
- Serve as a second-level point of contact for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
- Coordinate with hardware and circuit vendors to facilitate timely repairs and resolutions.
- Communicate network status updates and escalations clearly to agency management and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least three years of hands-on experience in a relevant engineering role.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency in networking principles and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with service mesh technologies, such as Istio.
- Strong familiarity with version control systems like Gitlab and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Working knowledge of Java, Node.js, Python, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
- Experience with log management, analytics tools, and unit or integration testing.
- Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification within 90 days of your start date.
- Availability for up to 10% travel.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience creating custom Helm charts.
- Foundational knowledge of big data environments.
- Multilingual programming capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in automation languages like GoLang or Python.
