The role
We are seeking a Senior Cyber Incident Commander to join our Cyber Security and Compliance team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the United States. We are looking for an experienced leader who can navigate high-pressure situations and guide our response efforts during critical security events.
Core responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive incident response activities, including scoping, communication, reporting, and long-term remediation planning, in accordance with our internal response protocols.
- Direct and manage incident response teams by delegating tasks, defining objectives, and ensuring effective cross-departmental collaboration under pressure.
- Develop and deliver high-level briefings for the CISO, Legal counsel, and executive management while coordinating containment and investigation efforts with key business stakeholders.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and technical expertise:
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a Cyber Security Operations Center or an incident response team.
- Proven track record of leading incident investigations, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating responses for critical cyber events.
- Extensive experience communicating risk and impact to executive leadership and Legal counsel.
- Deep technical proficiency with security tools, including SIEM, threat intelligence, EDR, UEBA, and identity management systems.
- Strong ability to mentor junior staff and drive improvements in our security maturity through lessons learned and process documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to synthesize complex technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Compensation and benefits
