At DeepLearning.AI we believe artificial intelligence is the new electricity, and our mission is to prepare millions of engineers to put it to work across every industry. We create world-class online courses that connect a global community of learners with the skills they need for an AI-powered future. We are looking for a Curriculum Developer who can turn expert ideas into clear, engaging learning experiences that reach students everywhere.
What you'll be doing
- Transform rough materials from subject-matter experts-such as sketched slides, bullet-point notes, or recorded lectures-into polished learner-facing content that includes slides, scripts, quizzes, and reading resources.
- Review technical material with a learner-first mindset, spotting gaps in clarity or accuracy and offering concrete improvements that keep every course cohesive and pedagogically sound.
- Move fluidly between tasks such as writing assessments one day and aligning video scripts and slides the next, always ensuring the final product reflects strong instructional design and attention to detail.
What you'll bring
We need someone who combines instructional-design expertise with enough technical depth to work confidently alongside AI specialists. You will be comfortable defining learning objectives and applying backward-design principles when you build online courses. A solid foundation in calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and Python-including functions, classes, data structures, and common machine-learning libraries-is essential, along with at least a basic understanding of AI and machine-learning concepts. A bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience in software development, data science, or machine learning is required. You communicate clearly in written English, enjoy collaborating with teammates, and bring a growth mindset that welcomes new challenges.
Experience designing asynchronous online curricula in AI, machine learning, or data science, or hands-on industry work as a data scientist or machine-learning engineer, will help you hit the ground running.
What you'll get
We offer a competitive salary along with flexible, untracked paid time off and additional monthly benefits. You can work remotely from anywhere, provided you are available within three time zones of California (Pacific Daylight Time).
