At DeepLearning.AI we believe AI is the new electricity, and our mission is to prepare millions of engineers to put it to work. As a small but fast-moving ed-tech company, we create world-class courses that help the global workforce build an AI-powered future. We are now inviting an experienced Curriculum Developer to join that effort and shape the next generation of learning experiences.
About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Curriculum Developer on a full-time basis. In this remote position you will partner with Curriculum Product Managers and leading AI experts to turn advanced technical ideas into engaging, effective online courses that reach learners around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform subject-matter experts’ notes, sketches, and recordings into polished learner-facing materials such as slides, scripts, quizzes, and reading resources.
- Review draft content as the first learner, spotting gaps in clarity or pedagogy and suggesting concrete improvements that raise overall course quality.
- Coordinate feedback from multiple stakeholders to ensure every course is accurate, cohesive, and instructionally sound while juggling tasks that range from assessment design to precise video edits.
Requirements
- Strong technical foundation in mathematics (calculus, linear algebra, statistics), Python programming, and at least a basic understanding of machine learning so you can quickly master new AI topics and give meaningful feedback on both lectures and code exercises.
- Proven experience designing or teaching technical courses for adult or post-secondary learners, including the creation of slide decks, lecture or reading materials, and assessments.
- Working knowledge of instructional-design principles and the ability to author and edit high-quality written content in English.
- Master’s degree in a STEM field, or a bachelor’s degree in STEM plus recognized online credentials in machine learning or a related discipline.
- Flexible, collaborative mindset with the willingness to adjust tasks and timing to deliver the best possible product.
Location
This role is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in the world, provided you can reliably overlap at least three time zones with California (Pacific Daylight Time / GMT-7).
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive, location-based salary aligned with data-science roles in the ed-tech sector.
- Flexible, untracked paid time off.
- Monthly learning budget plus additional remote-work support.
