We are Renegade, and we are currently building an unstoppable network designed for the anonymous exchange of value. Our core permissionless protocol functions as a crypto-native dark pool, effectively addressing common issues in decentralized exchanges such as front-running, copy trading, and fragmented liquidity. By leveraging zero-knowledge and multi-party cryptography, we ensure complete trade privacy throughout the entire lifecycle of a transaction. We are a seed-stage startup backed by prominent investors, and we operate as a full-time team based on-site in downtown San Francisco, six days a week. We are looking for a Senior Cryptography Engineer to join our mission.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine our ZKP and MPC proving stacks to ensure robust performance.
- Implement core cryptographic primitives, such as SPDZ and Bulletproofs, while optimizing them for low-latency execution.
- Conduct internal audits to maintain consistent system state while ensuring our protocol remains flexible and expressive.
Requirements
- A strong background in pure mathematics, cryptography, or security research.
- Experience with or a strong aptitude for learning zero-knowledge proofs and multi-party computation.
- Proficiency in working with cryptographic libraries like Arkworks, Circom, and Dalek.
- Practical experience with StarkNet and the Cairo language.
- A proven ability to write latency-optimized code for real-world zero-knowledge proof implementations.
What we offer
We provide an environment where you can work with a cutting-edge stack including Rust for our protocol layer, TypeScript for our interfaces, and libp2p for peer discovery. You will be part of a focused, high-impact team working at the forefront of decentralized finance and privacy technology.
