Welcome to Renegade. We are developing an unstoppable network designed for the anonymous exchange of value. Our core protocol, the Renegade dark pool, addresses critical issues found in current decentralized exchanges, such as front-running, copy trading, and fragmented liquidity. By leveraging zero-knowledge and multi-party cryptography, we provide complete trade privacy throughout the entire lifecycle of a trade. This ensures that no information regarding balances, order details, or historical data is exposed to third parties. We are bringing the efficiency of traditional finance dark pools into the crypto-native space, and we are currently looking for a Senior Cryptography Engineer to join our team in downtown San Francisco for an on-site, full-time role.
What you'll be doing
- You will work directly on our ZKP and MPC proving stacks to build robust infrastructure.
- You will implement and optimize core cryptographic primitives, such as SPDZ and Bulletproofs, to ensure low-latency execution.
- You will assist with internal audits to ensure our protocol remains flexible and expressive while maintaining a consistent state.
What you'll bring
We are looking for someone who is passionate about security and high-performance engineering. You should have a strong command of the English language and the following qualifications:
- A background in pure mathematics, cryptography, or security research.
- Experience with zero-knowledge proofs and multi-party computation, or the ability to master these concepts quickly.
- Proficiency in working with zero-knowledge libraries like Arkworks, Circom, and Dalek.
- Experience with StarkNet and the Cairo language.
- A track record of building practical zero-knowledge implementations, including the ability to write latency-optimized code.
- Familiarity with our core tech stack, which includes Rust for the protocol layer, TypeScript for interfaces, libp2p for networking, and StarkNet for settlement.
What you'll get
As a seed-stage startup backed by prominent investors like Naval Ravikant, Dragonfly Capital, and Balaji Srinivasan, we offer a unique opportunity to shape the future of decentralized finance. You will work in a high-intensity, collaborative environment in downtown San Francisco alongside a dedicated team.
