BitGo is a pioneer in digital asset financial services, providing secure custody, liquidity, and infrastructure to institutional investors since 2013. As the company that introduced the multi-signature wallet and serves as the custodian for WBTC, we process roughly 20% of all global Bitcoin transactions and support over 1,000 different assets for clients in 50 countries. We are looking for a Senior Cryptographer to join our expert team, helping us maintain the security standards that protect our 1,500 institutional clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cryptographic protocols and algorithms, with a specific focus on Threshold Signature Schemes (TSS) and Multi-Party Computation (MPC).
- Collaborate with our software developers and product teams to integrate these cryptographic solutions into our existing and future offerings.
- Perform security audits and penetration testing to proactively identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
- Stay current with the latest research in cryptography to ensure our systems remain at the cutting edge.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for our protocols and contribute to the development of our internal security standards.
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of professional experience in cryptography, specifically with TSS and MPC.
- A degree in Mathematics, Cryptography, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of cryptographic protocols such as RSA, ECC, AES, and SHA.
- Proven experience designing cryptographic solutions for large-scale enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with industry security standards like NIST, FIPS, and ISO 27001.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Fluency in English.
