We are Zen, an education technology company that has built an online platform giving schools instant access to compliance tools, professional training, and hundreds of vetted teacher and support-staff profiles. Since our launch in 2017 we have saved schools more than £30 million, and our recent $37 million Series B round-the largest European EdTech round this year-positions us for rapid expansion in the UK and US markets. We are now seeking a CRM Marketing Manager to lead our customer-lifecycle communications and help drive sustainable growth across both sides of our marketplace.
Key outcomes
- Own the end-to-end CRM and lifecycle strategy, including user segmentation and continuous optimisation of the customer journey for schools and supply teachers.
- Plan and execute all CRM and in-app messaging campaigns, ensuring every touchpoint is timely, relevant and on-brand.
- Design and run A/B tests on messaging campaigns and landing pages, translating results into measurable improvements in engagement and conversion.
- Monitor campaign performance data, maintain data integrity across CRM systems, and collaborate with Product to automate triggered emails that enhance user experience.
- Track and report on key CRM metrics, using insights to refine future campaign planning and demonstrate clear return on marketing investment.
Requirements
- At least three years of hands-on experience managing end-to-end CRM campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical capability to interpret performance data, extract actionable insights and adjust campaigns for improved results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to align stakeholders and uncover opportunities for impact.
- Comfort working at pace, juggling multiple projects and thriving in a scale-up setting.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in marketing, growth or experimentation roles that have uncovered new acquisition or retention opportunities.
- Familiarity with Customer.io, Mixpanel or SQL for building advanced segments and analysing user behaviour.
- A genuine interest in the education sector and a commitment to advancing our mission.
